We're excited to get started with our "Get a Clue" Challenge this summer, with the chance to win our grand prize package of a Nintendo Switch + Gaming Gift Card! 

What is Get a Clue?

We know youth do better when they are equipped with the skills they need to meet the challenges life can throw their way. Get a Clue has been developed as a way to teach some of these skills. We'll be focusing on financial literacy, problem solving skills, health and wellness, transportation, and basic first aid. Each week, we'll host a group session related to a theme. We'll also have a resource table with information that youth can take relating to the weekly themes.

How do youth participate?

Starting the week of July 8th and running until the week of August 19th, youth will have the opportunity to attend our weekly Get a Clue groups that will focus in on specific themes. Youth have the option of completing up to 3 activities related to each weekly theme.  

Youth will recieve one point for every Get a Clue group they attend, plus one point for each activity completed. For every four points earned, youth will receive a candy reward. 

How do youth get entered to win the Grand Prize Package?

Youth who attend at least 5 of the 7 weekly Get a Clue groups PLUS earns 26 points total will be entered into the draw for our Grand Prize package, as well as a draw for prizes for 2nd and 3rd place. 

When are the Get a Clue groups?

Get a Clue groups will be held weekly on Wednesdays from 2pm - 3pm, at our Youth Centre at ARC.

Do the activities have to be completed in a specific week? 

No, the activities can be completed at any time during the 7 week challenge. All activities MUST be completed by the week of August 19th. 

Do youth have to attend the Get a Clue groups?

If youth want to earn points and be able to enter in to the draw for the Nintendo Switch, youth MUST attend 5 of the 7 group sessions. 

Where can youth get more information or sign up to participate in Get a Clue?

Drop by our Youth Centre at ARC and ask our staff about Get a Clue. They will get you set up with a Game Card and get you started on the weekly activities. Our Youth Centre is open Monday - Friday from Noon - 5pm throughout the summer (*closed August 5). 

Stay up to date

Each Saturday, we will post our upcoming theme of the week to our social media channels. Watch for a blog post at the beginning of August that details some of the happenings in the first few weeks of the challenge. Our Grand Prize will be drawn and awarded the last week of August.
