Thank a Youth Worker Day was May 2nd, 2013. The Abbotsford Youth Commission in partnership with the University of the Fraser Valley brought the initiative to Abbotsford to encourage employers, funders, youth, and parents to thank Youth Workers for everything they do. The AYC distributed pre-made posters and post-it note packages to get the process started. If you were missed and want to receive a package next year please email info@abbyyouth.com.

At the Abbotsford City of Character Leadership Forum, the emcee Deputy Chief Rick Lucy encouraged participants to thank the Youth Workers at their tables and in their organizations as this event fell on Thank a Youth Worker Day.
