Fall at AYC is here!
We've got some awesome programs going this fall - from our free drop-in youth centres to the return of Youth Night, we have something to keep every youth busy, engaged, and connected in the fall.
Free Programs
Drop-In Youth Centres
Our two youth centres at ARC and MRC are once again open for after school drop-in this fall. Starting September 4 until December 20th, we are open at both centres on weekdays from 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM. On Fridays we'll be open late until 6:00 PM*.
Free Dinner Night
Ages 12 - 18, @ BOTH Youth Centres
Various dates*
Help prepare (and eat) dinner for yourself and the youth centre. Once a month on a Friday we have family style sit-down dinners at the centres where youth get a chance to connect with their peers and enjoy a great meal together.
Open Gym
Ages 12-18, @ ARC Youth Centre
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3:15-4:30pm*
Play basketball, badminton, nine square, soccer, volleyball, and more! Entrance through the youth centre.

Youth Centre Leadership Team (YCLT)
Youth ages 12 - 18, @ BOTH Youth Centres
Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30pm (starts Sep. 11)
This group meets once a week to learn new leadership skills, meet new friends, and have a say about what activities happen in our Youth Centres.

Activities & Life Skills Courses
Youth Night
Ages 12-16, Various locations
Tuesdays, 7 PM - 8:30 PM (Oct. 1 - Nov. 19) OR Thursdays, 7 PM - 8:30 PM (Oct. 3 - Nov. 21)
Cost: $50
Youth Night is a non-competitive, co-ed recreation program for all youth ages 12-16. Each Youth Night program includes 8 weeks of fun activities around the city of Abbotsford. The main purpose of Youth Night is to encourage youth to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle through exercise and play. Our Youth Nights provide youth with the opportunity to try new sports and activities in a fun atmosphere with no pressure to perform. No skill is required, just a willingness to try.
Babysitter's Course
Ages 11 - 15
Fall Babysitter's courses happen on Pro-D Day Fridays from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM.
Cost: $65
FoodSafe
Ages 14 - 18
Fall FoodSafe courses happen on some Pro-D Day Fridays from 9 AM - 5 PM.
Cost: $80
Changemakers
Ages 16 - 18, October 16, 6:00-7:30pm @ ARC (registration required)
Cost: free!
Join United Way BC’s Hi Neighbour for an inspiring workshop designed to help you become a leader and a changemaker! Our Pathway to Community Engagement & Impact session is packed with opportunities to:
